英语长句子成分该怎样分析？

咱们就以新概念第四册，第二十八的一个长句来分析一下。

The majority of the patients attending the medical out-patients departments of our hospitals feel that they have not received adequate treatment unless they are able to carry home with them some tangible remedy in the shape of a bottle of medicine, a box of pills, or a small jar of ointment, and the doctor in charge of the department is only too ready to provide them with these requirements.

分析这种长句首先要看它有几个限定动词短语，也就是谓语。然后在看每个谓语的主语是谁。有几个主谓结构就有几个句子。最后再看各句之间的关系。

这句话中四个谓语，分别是feel其主语是The majority of the patients attending the medical out-patients depart，第二个谓语是have not received，主语是they。第三个谓语是are able to carry。第四个谓语是is，主语是the doctor in charge of the department。剩下就是看各句之间的关系了。

既然要分析长句，我想你的英语不会太差，咱们就用中英双语进行分析。

This is a coordinated sentence. 这是个并列句。The first clause is第一个分句是 ‘The majority of the patients….’ The second clause is 第二个分句是‘the doctor in charge of the department……’

‘attending the medical……our hospitals’ is attributive modifying是定语修饰 ‘The majority of the patients’ . ‘that they have not received …… ointment’ is an object clause是宾语从句. ‘unless they are able to carry home with them some tangible remedy in the shape of a bottle of medicine, a box of pills, or a small jar of ointment’ is adverbial clause of concession in the object clause. 是宾语从句中的让步状语从句‘some tangible remedy’ is the object in the adverbial clause of concession是让步状语从句中的宾语. ‘in the shape of a bottle of medicine, a box of pills, or a small jar of ointment’ is attributive modifying是定语修饰 ‘some tangible remedy’.
